Doom 2 RPG is a mobile game released in 2009, serving as the sequel to the original Doom RPG. It continues the first-person turn-based RPG gameplay of its predecessor. In May 2023, the team at GEC Inc. released an unofficial reverse-engineered PC port of the game, similar to their work on the first game. The port uses SDL2 and OpenAL, supporting modern resolutions and controllers. Because it does not include copyrighted assets, users must provide their own copy of the original mobile game file (specifically the Doom 2 RPG.ipa file from the iOS version) to play. This project successfully preserved a game that was otherwise inaccessible on modern mobile devices.
