Age of the Ring is a highly acclaimed total overhaul mod for the classic RTS game The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II: The Rise of the Witch-king. Considered one of the most ambitious mods for the game, it effectively functions as a modern, expanded sequel. As of recent versions (v9.0 and later), the mod is fully standalone and does not require the original game files to install, significantly simplifying setup on modern computers.
